Because of so many advertising the area and telling their family and friends it has caused prices of homes to increase dramatically. Just a couple years ago homes were $185k on average. When you discover a low cost paradise area keep quiet about it and don't educate the realtors and don't them them how expensive homes are where you are from. The less they know the better
country wide issue.. no town has escaped it. even slums are doubled in price
I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida more it’s a beautiful city with a growing communities and businesses and a good nightlife.🫡🇺🇸❤

Inverness Taxes went up to pay for this city manager's vanity project that no one needed. How many hundreds of thousand dollars with this stupidy cost taxpayers yearly for upkeep? Don't be nieve someone is getting sweetheart yearly upkeep maintenance contracts. Our city government is incompetent and corrupt.....

MOST IMPORTANT: Look - Don't Touch the wild manatees....you could be transferring viruses and other diseases. Be kind to the manatees, give them space and watch how beautiful they are naturally......
I like stone crabs better then king crabs! Haven't tried Dungeness crabs yet. I like the stone claws served on ice.

The most amazing place in existence. Moved here a year ago to get my daughter out of the yankee lifestyle. It was 10x what I thought it would be. We now bought a home and it closes in 3 weeks. Its on Myakka and runs straight out to Boca Grande . Jobs pay more, life is better, everyone is happier because they are overpaid, underworked, or on vacation to spend the best week of their entire year. Telling ya, this place is literal paradise.
@@inVINSONable1 I honestly can't wait I am from center of NY state and it is terrible here. We wanna buy a house down there to move into because we have animals. (4 dogs) I get an over whelming feeling of wanting to go home (there) all the time. It doesn't feel like home here anymore. How is the utilities? Better then national grid? How bout the flooding and stuff? Is that stuff tolerable? Worth the move? Sorry so many questions and no one to ask.

Grew up here. It really depends on your job skill and where you live. I did construction and it was pretty good until ‘09 and ‘13. With any place there’s good sides and bad. Hope it all worked out with y’all and you are enjoying the beautiful state.
